At its now traditional showcase evening to round off the schedule, New start had a chance to beat their companies to an audience of family and friends and decisive, potential investorsAttracted by the chance to enter the ground floor with companies that all hope to be the next big thing.
The tenth cohort was an impressively varied group whose founder had an eye to help others and simply earn profits. Startups was Bamboo Nest, a personal assistant for parents; Bonded, one app to help couples to prove their relationship for immigration purposes; Koala, one Artificial intelligence (AI) -driven productivity tools for people with ADHD; Traceport, a platform to increase openness and liability in the charity sector, and; UDORGME, a solution to improve the gift card experience.

Despite the incubator’s name, startups do not use all blockchain. Block Dojo has developed during its ten degree cycles; its original emphasis on Blockchain is now complemented by AI.
As program director Mattias de Cnydt When we introduced the evening: “We are a Venture builder at Crossroads of Blockchain and AI, so we believe that these techniques go hand in hand and that they will create incredible opportunities for both entrepreneurs and investors.”
Block Dojo is also open to good ideas about any taste. When business models develop during the program and founders, they think of expert mentoring and teaching, blockchain, AI and other techniques come and go when their plans solidify into the places they present at the Showcase evening.
Among this group, there has been something other than praise for blocking Block Dojo and appreciation for what they have learned over the past twelve weeks.
“It has been, in a nutshell, wonderfully intense,” says Paula Yau-like from Bamboo Nest, with a smile.
Yau-Lilla’s parent experience inspired her business idea, but she adds that “which will mainly be a mother, it was a bit of a big gear for me, but the support from the team has been outstanding.”
Like many on the program, Yau-related found that the process changed her plans: “The idea I came in with is not the version of Bambubo that we see now, but that’s part of the process … I think this version is definitely better.”

Glen Cameron from Bonded emphasized how the program allowed him to focus on his idea without the usual distractions.
“When you spend three months to something, and you decide to do nothing else, you will find out if you really want to. And I found out that I am very happy to continue moving. Bonded is growing fast and I am just happy with what is happening.”
For Ayo Dawodu from U poison, the dojo intensity was what he appreciated most: “It’s a 12-week sprint. It’s the biggest I get from that-speed you get to the market. Since in the world of startups, the speed is all. I really value it.”

Valerie Oyiki from Koala agrees and says: “Block Dojo has been very intense. But sometimes I think pressure is what creates diamonds. I know that Koala is a diamond. It is a fantastic process that gets you where you need to be very, very quickly.”
Finally, Bridget Doran from Traceport mentions the personal side of being in the group of the founders: “We have all become really close. We are very supportive for each other. We can all give each other’s pitch.”
Fortunately, it was not necessary at the exhibition. Everyone could give their own pitch with certainty and five new companies were launched.
