Arizona Bitcoin Reserve Bill HB2324 passes houses, leading to Governor Hobbs for Signature

Arizona House of Representatives passed on Tuesday House Bill 2324 (HB2324), legislation focused on creating a state -managed reserve for bitcoin and other digital assets obtained through criminal forfeiture, according to the state Bill Tracker.

Revived earlier this month, HB2324 Cleaned Arizona -Senate Last Friday and now now leads to Governor Katie Hobbs for consideration.

The bill would agree that digital assets are included in accordance with the state’s laws on loss of assets and establish modern custody records. These include blockchain-based access checks, the use of third-party custodians and options for asset management such as digital wallet storage, liquidation through licensed cryptout changes or detention based on market conditions.

If he was signed by law, HB2324 would mark Arizona’s second state initiative to establish a crypto -based reserve.

Governor Hobbs has previously vetoed against two Bitcoin Reserve bills, SB1373 and SB1025, which tried to enable direct government investments in bitcoin. The only reserve action she has so far approved is HB2749that created a more limited fund supported by unproven property.
