LITACOINS X account hacked to promote fake Solana LTC tokens

The official X account for Litecoin seemed to have been compromised earlier today, according to many reports from the Crypto Community members. The hacker used it to promote a fraudulent solar-based token that shared the same LTC-Ticker as the legitimate digital asset.

The unauthorized post, which included a Solana contract address for the fake Lickcoin token, briefly ran the market value to $ 27,000 before it dropped to $ 3,400, per dex cutter. The tweet was then removed.

In a recent statement, Litecoin confirmed that its account was hacked and investigations are still ongoing. The team reported to have found and removed a delegated account directed by the hacker.

The event follows a pattern of social media account compromising focus on high -profile crypto projects and individuals.
