According to reports, Solana Advocate Jakey, known online like @soljakey, spent a day riding with 25 Uber drivers to see if XRP Have really got into everyday wallets.
He asked every driver a simple question: “Do you have XRP?” The experiment went through what seems to be Ontario, Canada and Jakey captured every response to video published July 20.
Most drivers had either never heard of XRP or told him that they have no crypto at all. Only on the 25th trip did he hear a “Yes.”
Test XRP -awareness among drivers
Jakey’s test was small but clear. He jumped into 25 different rides and got mostly empty appearance when he mentioned XRP.
Some drivers asked what XRP even is, and some said they had just ever heard of Bitcoin or ethereum. None of the first 24 drivers contained any of the coin. That pattern held up all day.
Are Uber drivers actually rich from XRP?

A driver bucking the trend
At Ride Number 25, Jakey finally met someone who said he bought Krypton at $ 1.67. It is not clear if that driver bought when the coin hit 1.67 in the middle of 2021 or during Rally in November 2024.
What meant to him was the benefit. He said he plans to keep XRP in the long term because of how it moves money across borders.
Jakey has been a song skeptic. In December 2024, when the Crypto access was shopping for $ 2, he opened a short position and funned his winnings in Solana -based Meme coins.
XRP then climbed to $ 3.4 in January 2025, fell back to $ 2 and decided about $ 3.5 from this week.
Based on reports from Altcoin -Society researcher SMQKE, almost 100% of retail investors still do not know what XRP is, even when it breaks price register.
The current retail mode.
99% are unaware of XRP, even when it is constantly breaking.
Retail investors do not rush to collect tool tokens.

Retail adoption remains early
SMQKE claims that low awareness shows that retail interests have not caught up yet. At the same time, the institutions have silently added altcoin behind the scenes.
Data on the chain suggests large transfers that move into wallets belonging to big players. This type of accumulation can drive prices without any street level.
What this means for altcoin
The Uber Rid test shows a large gap between price performance and public recognition. Asking 25 people is not a scientific survey, but it illustrates how few everyday users know about XRP by name.
For a clearer picture of adoption of retail, one would need broader voting, user statistics for the level of exchange and more analysis of the chain. Until then, Altcoin’s Path to mainstream hands may still be on the starting line.
