The co-founder of a popular Cryptocurrency took a sweep on Layer-2 Cryptor and claimed that these collections are just superfluous and make blockchain scaling more complicated.

Anatoly Yakovenko, co -founder of Soana Network, claimed that Layer-1 solutions are sufficient without layer-2 symbols that do not offer genuine, long-term benefits.

Lager-2 is not needed?

Yakovenko said in an X post that Layer-2 Cryptocurrencies are unnecessary and only adds unnecessary complexity to blockchain scaling.

“There is no reason to build an L2,” Yakovenko said in a post, which is the sole founder’s response to @ripdoteth, who claimed that there is no reason to build a warehouse-1.

The Crypto founder claimed that Table-1 Solutions, such as Solana Network, can already offer efficient, cheap and secure scaling solutions. Therefore, he said that the layer-2 tokens only give redundancy.

“They are not slowed down by a glacial moving L1 -data accessibility bundle, or must compromise with certainty with complex fraud certificates and upgrade multisigs,” he explained.

He added that Solana did not encounter this type of problem as it has separate execution and data warehouses on an effective base layer.

Storage issues

Yakovenko described Solana’s data production as a small one at 80 terabytes annually and said that layer-1 cannot scale because they are hindered by storage.

“Soana generates a powerful amount of data. As 80 TB per year so far. It is just not enough data to build a company around, but too much for an individual to easily store,” Yakovenko said.

Crypto founder told users not to create baseless warehouse-2 Crypto coursesSays early this month, “You can skip to create a useless L2 and just start a symbol.”

When asked about Solana’s plan to loosen unused storage, he replied that the general ledger is in progress “Filecoin or whatever decentralized storage provider wants it.”

Some do not agree

Several crypto investors do not agree with Yakovenko and claim that Layer-2 solutions are necessary.

“L1 cannot scale to cater for 8 billion global users. L2 is needed no matter what chain you see leaders. And they may be faster, cheaper, safer, interoperable, specialized to use cases, located or decentralized, develop quickly or Ossify,” @ruzhyox commented on Yakovenko’s post.

The Sola founder replied that Layer-1 can accommodate 8 billion users and said: “8 billion * 3 tx per day is below 300,000 TPS. It fits under 1 Gbps block passage for 400 replacement TXS.”

He claimed that Solana’s design allows it to compete with each Ethereum Layer-2 solution directly, which is not the case with Ethereum itself. “There is no point in multiple L2s … If a single L2 can handle parallel execution, it can use all the Blobspace and run all use cases.”
